Call for Papers

Authors are invited to submit complete, original and unpublished research papers to the International Conference on Communication and Media 2014 (I-COME'14) which may address theoretical, methodological or practical aspects related to communication and should revolve around the conference theme (papers not explicitly addressing the following theme are also welcomed).

Communication, Empowerment and Governance: The 21st Century Enigma

Full papers will be submitted to the Scientific Committe for their approval and once accepted they will be published in Procedia - Social and Behavioral Science available through ScienceDirect. It will be sent to be reviewed by Thomson Reuters CPCI and Scopus for its inclusion in these databases.

Submission Guidelines

  • The paper must be an original work and have not been previously accepted in a journal or under consideration for publication elsewhere
  • Please read the GUIDE FOR AUTHORS before preparing your text Download i-COME'14 Template HERE
  • All papers must conform to the Procedia standard – the Social and Behavioral Science (Elsevier) single-column format set in its MS Word Template
  • Papers must be sent in Word format through OpenConf Peer Review and Conference Management System
  • The paper must be written in English with a maximum of 6 single-spaced pages, including an abstract, references, tables, figures and appendices
  • Any additional page will be charged USD20 per page

Selected papers will be published in Procedia – the Social and Behavioral Science available through ScienceDirect. The papers will be selected through a double blind review process. Please ensure that the authors' names do not appear in the submitted paper [authors' names must only be included in the final submission of the PRINT READY version after the review process is complete].

An abstract without a completed paper or rejected completed paper (reviewed by the Scientific Committee) will ONLY be considered for the oral presentation.
At least one author of each accepted paper/abstract must register and pay the fees for the conference by 1 August 2014 in order for the paper/abstract to be included in the program booklet and the conference proceedings.

Paper Submission

We use OpenConf Peer Review and Conference Management System system for paper submission and reviewing process. Authors are required to submit and upload the paper online. If there is any problem, please do let us know.
